As one of the professional kids’ film festivals, SDIKFF wants to provide a professional platform to help the kids who have a film dream at this early stage. Among the panels this year, “Audition for Family and Kids’ Films” will provide tips from the industrial insights to all the participants, help all the parents and kids be more ready in the future auditions.
This panel is about:
- What kind of information is important on the audition post.
- How to help the kids get the right emotions for the roles as soon as possible.
- Communicating strategies with the audition crews.
- How to follow up after the audition appropriately. |

Giovannie Espiritu, audtion coach, Actress and filmmaker
Giovannie was nominated alongside Academy Award Nominees Alfre Woodard and Amy Irving for Best Supporting Actress at MethodFest. Her credits include a recurring role on ER (NBC), Bones (FOX), Gilmore Girls (ABC), and Trauma (NBC). She can currently be seen as the lead in the Amazon series, "Dyke Central," which was featured in After Ellen, BuzzFeed, Bust Magazine and Curve Magazine. As a filmmaker, she was featured in Elizabeth Banks' WhoHaHa Media for her parody song, "An Introvert's World," and her storytelling has been featured in Ms. Magazine. A two-time Outfest Fusion Filmmaker, her short film, "Ultra-Feminist," was awarded Honorable Mention.
She coaches kids/teens online nationwide through HollywoodActorsWorkshop.com and was just named as one of the top 40 Audition Coaches in Los Angeles by the Hollywood Winners Circle founded by Wendy Alane Wright. Her students are represented by the top agencies in the Bay Area and Los Angeles and notable student alumni include William Lipton (Daytime Emmy Nominee, Cameron on General Hospital) and the Espina Sisters (Hosts of Dreamworks' "Life Hacks for Kids on the Road").

She also works as a children's talent manager, help numerous youth have had the opportunity to achieve high success in the television industry and workforce. Tina has achieved impressive commercial success producing television spots for big name companies such as Lucas Oil, LA Fitness, Dodge Dealership, Chamber of Commerce, Volkswagen, Jazzercise Fitness and many more. In her television producing and hosting capacity, Tina has interviewed countless celebrities, producers, directors, and political figures on her "In Our Community" and "Today's Kids" cable television shows. Tina's most recent project is producing a television show, "Eye on You" which engages young people with politicians and community leaders by discussing hot button topics affecting the world. |

Youth Ambassador: Chalet Lizette Brannan. Child Actor
Chalet is an exceptional child actress that was diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitts Lymphoma at the age of 10. She was no stranger to film or filming as she had already at 9 won several co supporting films and was starring in several series destined for Networks. She took time off to devote herself to beating cancer. Afterwords, she continued to film only this time she started touring for cancer research and became a Worldwide Ambassador for Beads Of Courage which helps children tell their own story and help them to beat life threatening illnesses. She also became a WISH Ambassador for Make A Wish and has appeared on the Ryan Seacrest Network and many more as a child Advocate against cancer. She regularly gives time and money in visiting children’s hospitals. She continues to film today and has several leading roles in such big films as Peter Pan Land Of Forever, Friday The 13Th Vengeance and several more. Many of her films are on Netflix like Tinker and her signature film The Sparrows Nesting on Prime with Kevin Sorbo.
She pushes forward to help others and hopes one day that cancer in children will be non existent. |
