Asican Film Projects are looking for Western filmmakers participate in their movies. A window of opportunity has opened for the Western directors, screenwriters, Scrip doctors, cinema photographers, musical composters, Animators, actors, etc. Come to meet the delegations of Asian investors, producers, directors, and find out the pitfalls, common misunderstandings, and industry myths for working with the Asian films. The panelists will attempt to address these issues during the discussion.

Petra Deeter; Filmmaker
Petra Deeter is an award-winning filmmaker and a funding and distribution executive at Sprrkle Media. She has speared headed production and distribution for films and TV series in a range of genres from drama, comedy, horror to Western. She is the Director of 2 film festivals and is a judge of the Academy Award-qualifying Burbank International Film Festival. Deeter was an angel investor, who invested in & helped many entrepreneurs raise money from angel investors & Venture Capitalists and connect to acquirers like Google or FB to reach profitable exits. Previously, Deeter founded several tech companies that were later acquired. She developed and commercialized the Reflux Classifier, a technology that is saving the Australian minerals processing industry over $100M a year. As a result, she was honored with a medal by the Australian Government and awards by United Airlines, Executive Women Inc, and other organizations. She has a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from UCLA |

Gary Nguyen, Actor,
Gary Nguyen is a Vietnamese American actor, he came to the US at the age of 17, he is always passionate about the 7th art, he enjoyed singing, acting and voiceover when he was very young. At the time, his parents wanted him to become a doctor instead, but after trying out to meet his family expectations, he decided to pursue acting, at the time he had no connections or resources, he didn’t know how to start; but he fought his way through. Fast forward to present day, Gary is now a working actor with many credits from both indie and well known projects. When he is not working, Gary likes to spend time with his Mother, being outdoor, and writing journal. Gary is also a movie critics and a foodie, he loves to write reviews about the latest blockbuster in theater or his experience with new food businesses wherever he goes. |
