Charles Carr; Author, Director, Musician, Art Judge
Mr. Carr is the President of Art Animates Life Films and San Diego Union-Tribune writer. He is a multiple award-winning author written literally thousands of newspaper articles, magazine stories, and columns. He has founded Art Animates Life which is a scalable, replicable nonprofit model aimed at properly acknowledging the role of culture bearers in the community. He is also a professional musician for more than 20 years, his guitar playing and arranging have been featured on many recordings. As a director, his stage shows have garnered broad acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Charles has been a contributor and technical advisor to L.A. and San Diego Parent magazines and receives dozens of requests each year to appear on Southern California television and radio stations to talk about important events. and judging the national PRSA Journalism Awards

Geoffrey A. Cox, Director
Geoffrey is an outstanding Director, Actor, Singer, Artist and Arts Educator in San Diego. He has assembled many talented casts for a number of exceptional productions both in adult and children theaters throughout California, Arizona, and Texas. His productions have been rated among the best from many media sources including “North County Times”, "San Diego Tribune", “NewsBlaze”, “Panhandle News”, “LGBT PRIDE”, etc. His past Board Associations include: Pickwick Players, Yuma Community Theatre, Looking Glass Theatre; and currently serves on the Patio Playhouse Board of Directors.Geoffrey is an accredited writer for the Walt Disney Company with his original musical "Once Upon A Dream". He is also the Artistic Manager of his own production company Grand Facade Theatre Productions

 Emily O’Connell - Mia
Emily is excited to be part of A Mango Shaped Space. She most recently performed with Grand Façade in Summer Spectacular III: New York Dreams and has participated in a few musicals and plays. She also recently worked backstage on This at Patio Playhouse and returns to the Patio stage as Ms. Spider in James And The Giant Peach this October.

Andrea Acuna - Mom

Andrea Acuna earned her B.A. in Theatre Arts/Performance Studies at the University of San Diego. Most recently, she appeared as Mariane in Coronado Playhouse's production of Tartuffe. Other past credits include Mrs. Beauregarde inRoald Dahl's Willy Wonka, Bagshot in The Beaux' Stratagem, and The Waitress in Rhinoceros

 
Justin Hart - Dad
Justin Hart graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science. This is his second time appearing in a stage production. Many thanks to Geoffrey for inviting him to be part of this festival!
Anabelle Noland - Beth
Annabelle Noland is excited to be working with Geoffrey and Grand Facade once more! She has been in a total of four shows with Grand Facade before and a number of other performances in her lifetime. Some of her favorite roles include, Titania in A Midsummer NIght's Dream and Melanie in Fredrick our Legacy. Annabelle would like to thank Geoffrey for this new and fun opportunity.
Christian Reyes – Zack
Christian Reyes age 10 and attends Mission Middle School. Christian first appeared in his 4th grade play Missions and More where he played Jedediah Smith. This is when he first realized he loved doing theatre. Since then he has done several theatre plays Disney’s Jungle Book as Baloo, Disney's Little Mermaid as the Pilot, & ensemble, and Peter Pan as a lost boy. Christian looks forward in doing more theatre in the future
Josh Henson - Roger
Josh is excited to be a part of Grand Façade! He enjoys acting, singing and dancing. Some of his favorite roles have been Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Tweedle Dum in Alice in Wonderland, Rooster in Annie Jr., Bun Foo in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Eugene in Grease Jr. He thanks his family for all their love and support and is especially thankful to Geoffrey for being such a great mentor
Paige Townsend – Jenna
Paige is so excited to be playing the role of Jenna in this production! She has been in many previous shows with Patio Playhouse. Some of her favorite roles include Puck A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cheshire Cat #2 Alice In Wonderland Jr., and a Fairy The Tempest. She enjoys reading (especially Harry Potter), creative writing, showtunes, and outer space. She is a freshman at Classical Academy High School
Tami O’Connell – Mrs. Roth
Tami is excited to be in A Mango Shaped Space. Tami has appeared in plays at Palomar College as Hornbeck in Inherit The Wind and Mrs. Grogan in Ciderhouse Rules. Recently she was in All In The Timing and Our Town as Mrs. Gibbs both performed at Patio Playhouse. When not in the theater she reads a lot.
